Patchwork Petal Nap - Handmade Calico Cat Basket

I had this idea of making a little calico cat, curled up and sleeping.

I like how calico cats always look a bit random, so I spent some time placing each patch until it felt right.

The basket came first, simple and soft.
Then I added the tiny white bell flowers, letting them hang down loosely like they would in a real plant.

They took longer than I expected, but I actually enjoyed that part.

When I placed the cat on top, it just felt… settled.
Like it had found its spot and didn’t want to move anymore.

That’s what I love about making these pieces.
Each one slowly becomes its own little scene.
